th largest in the nation. A city deeply rooted in American history, Baltimore is also the second largest seaport in the Mid-Atlantic region, and though its industrial production has declined, the city successfully shifted to service, manufacturing, and medical oriented industries. Baltimore’s many distinctive neighborhoods make living within its boundaries a much more dynamic experience than the typical American city.
